Dame Helen Mirren Lost A Slew Of Her Favourite Restaurants In A Devastating Gas Explosion That Rocked New York City Earlier This Year (15).
Two apartment buildings in Manhattan's East Village were ripped apart by the blast in March (15), and a number of local businesses were forced to close because of the damage.
Mirren owns an apartment in the area with her director husband Taylor Hackford, and she reveals the disaster is still affecting residents.
She tells the New York Post, "I love the holes in the walls, the small restaurants. Sadly, some of our favourites are closed because of that terrible gas explosion. We loved the Stage and the B&H, and the Pommes Frites. (That) was completely destroyed."
