Hayden Panettiere has put her wedding on ''hold''.

The 24-year-old actress and her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko have put off setting a date for their big day due to the current fighting in Ukraine, as the boxer's brother, Vitali, is involved in the reform efforts over there.

Speaking to Parade magazine, she explained: ''Everything that's happening in Ukraine definitely put a hold on things. But we have time.''

However, the blonde beauty, who announced her engagement in October, has already decided she'll be a ''sexy and youthful'' bride when she walks down the aisle.

She said previously: ''I would like some really long, loose boho beach waves and just a nice golden tan.

''I want to be classy and elegant and sophisticated, but I also don't want to forget my age. I want to be comfortable. I want it to be just sexy enough, but youthful at the same time. I don't want to look so done up.''

Meanwhile, the 'Nashville' star hasn't started planning for her nuptials, but she offered a small tease about the event.

She said: ''I love colour, so that will play a big part.''
