A mother vying to ban the Harry Potter books from her child's school in Gwinnett County, Georgia, has been defeated by the state's education authority.
LAURA MALLORY campaigned to have the J K ROWLING boy wizard books removed from public libraries in the area, after branding the stories "child-friendly witchcraft".
But the Georgia Board of Education refused to accept the charges, which had already been turned down by the local school board, and the series will remain on the county's shelves.
