Gwyneth Paltrow spent $100,000 on goods from Jay Z's collection for Barneys.

The 'Shakespeare in Love' actress is a huge fan of the rapper's collection of designer items for the New York department store, and got many of her Christmas gifts from it.

A source told America's Star magazine: ''Gwyneth loves Jay Z and she loves his taste. She's giving lots of people on her holiday list something from the collection.''

Items in '99 Problems' star Jay Z's collection include $5,000 cashmere blankets, $4,000 leather bags and $1,000 T-shirts. Another thing which attracted Gwyneth to Jay Z's line is that proceeds benefit his Shawn Carter Foundation charity, which gives back to the poorest communities in New York.

The friend added: ''The proceeds are going to charity, so this is a win-win for Gwyneth, she gets to support a good friend and a good cause, and - of course - to give wonderful gifts.''

Gwyneth and her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, are good friends with Jay Z and his wife Beyonce, and they often spent time together. Earlier this autumn, Chris was seen taking Jay on a stroll through London, before they both boarded the Underground to head to Jay's concert in the city.
