Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow was feted for her Hollywood accomplishments as she received a top acting award in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday (15Jun13).
The Shakespeare in Love star was presented with the Renaissance Award at a special fundraiser gala, billed as A Summer Soiree with Gwyneth Paltrow.
The evening, held at the city's Ritz-Carlton Hotel, featured a retrospective of Paltrow's most notable performances, and she also participated in a discussion about her career.
Paltrow is in good company as the latest Renaissance Award recipient - last year (12), the prize went to Reese Witherspoon, while in 2011 it was scooped by Jamie Foxx, and her Iron Man co-star Robert Downey, Jr. took the trophy home in 2010.
