Gwen Stefani has created seven limited-edition nail polishes for OPI inspired by her own signature rocker style.
Gwen Stefani has launched a nail polish collection for OPI.
After setting up her own clothing line L.A.M.B. in 2003, the No Doubt singer has turned her hand to cosmetics to create seven limited-edition nail varnishes inspired by her own punk rock-meets-glamour style.
Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI's Executive VP and Artistic Director, said in a statement: ''Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup and nail art, Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style. OPI wanted to create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake.
''With crème and glitter hues, new satin matte texture, a mirrored chrome and Swarovski elements, Gwen Stefani by OPI presents the latest in pigments and finishes, while combining elements of haute couture and street fashion.''
The funky shades, with names inspired by some of Gwen's most famous tracks, include Over & Over A-Gwen - a bright red that ''pays homage to Gwen's signature lipstick'' - Hey Baby, In True Stefani Fashion, 4 in the Morning, and Love.Angel.Music.Baby.
The mother-of-two's signature shade of red will only be sold as part of a special set that includes nail art decorations from Swarovski Elements.
The new line was also influenced by the 'Punk: Chaos to Couture' theme of this year's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute gala and is expected to hit major US retailers in January 2014.
