George Michael has revealed former SONY MUSIC boss Tommy Mottola was at the centre of his decision to quit the record label and fight them for his artistic freedom in court.

After swearing he wanted nothing else to do with Sony after the bitter 1993 court case, which he lost, Michael resigned with the record company last year (03).

He insists Mottola's departure was the main reason for his decision to come back.

Michael says, "It had everything to do with Mottola leaving. I never had any problems with Sony in the UK, but America holds the purse strings.

"If you fall out with the boss, you're in trouble."
