The Hollywood producer passed away in July (15), aged 77, and his friends and family gathered two months on to remember him.

Clooney, Damon and Stone all turned out for the event, held at a venue in L.A., along with fellow Hollywood star Billy Crystal, The Four Seasons singer Frankie Valli, and actors Elliott Gould and Tony Danza.

Weintraub's widow, singer Jane Morgan, also attended the dinner.

Clooney, who celebrated his first wedding anniversary on the day of the event, gave a speech in honour of Weintraub, who worked on his Ocean's 11 movie series. Damon also stepped up to the podium to deliver a tribute, along with Paul Anka and Crystal.

Oscar-winning actor Clooney previously joked that Weintraub would find it funny that he had to sacrifice plans with his wife Amal to attend the memorial, saying, "This is his last producorial way of s**ewing me over, that on my anniversary, I have to go to his memorial."

After Weintraub's death in July (15), the actor and his wife, who married in Italy on 27 September, 2014, released a statement which read: "In the coming days there will be tributes about our friend Jerry Weintraub. We'll laugh at his great stories, and applaud his accomplishments and in the years to come the stories and accomplishments will get better with age, just as Jerry would have wanted it. But not today. Today our friend died.

"To his family and friends, Amal and I send our love. And to those who didn't know him we send our deepest sympathy. You would have loved him."
