Let’s talk about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. Yes, again. The pair are now happily married and not generating too much news, but the latest bit of tabloid fodder is centered around their wedding. Specifically, the price tag of their wedding, which is reportedly somewhere around $1,6 million.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin started their married life on the right foot - but they kept the tab low.

In case you haven’t heard (how?) the couple tied the knot in Italy on  on September 27 in a private ceremony attended by 100 of their nearest and dearest, including Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso. People magazine reported in detail about the wedding and the guest list.

The wedding party and guests were showered (not literally, we hope) with Casamigos Tequila. Clooney and co-founder/co-owner Rande Gerber flew 100 cases of the brand's award-winning Blanco, Reposado and Anejo tequila from California to Italy for the wedding festivities.

Clooney saved some cash by supplying the tequila himself - that classic wedding favorite.

The $1,6 million estimate cited by People is actually far lower than some sources have been claiming. The cost of the entire wedding has been put at anywhere between $5 and $13 million, which means that comparatively, they’ve actually kept things quite modest. Anyway, tequila with friends in Venice, it all sounds like the perfect start to a long and happy married life.
