Generous Foo Fighters Frontman Dave Grohl Has Handed A Sick Australian Fan Free Tickets To The Band's Upcoming Los Angeles Concert After Learning He's Living With A Terminal Disease.
Ken Powell was diagnosed with melanoma 14 years ago, and when a friend approached Grohl and told him of his pal's health battle during a recent plane trip, the rocker insisted on meeting him.
Ironically, Powell was hoping to hook up with his hero backstage at a Perth show Down Under - but Grohl had to pull out of the planned meet-and-greet after falling ill.
The Foo Fighters star has now invited Powell to the band's September (15) gig in Los Angeles, sending his sick fan a picture of himself holding a sign reading: "Hi Ken".
Powell is now attempting to raise money to fund a flight to America for the concert. Over $9,000 (£6,000) has been raised so far.
