FKA Twigs says she is willing to tolerate the difficulties that come with being Robert Pattinson's girlfriend because he is ''the man I love''.
FKA Twigs says it's ''challenging'' being Robert Pattinson's girlfriend but it's worth it because she is in ''love'' with him.
The 26-year-old singer embarked on a relationship with the 'Twilight' actor earlier this year and admits it's been tough dating one of the most famous men in the world because of the constant interest in their romance.
However, FKA insists she's willing to put up with the negative aspects of their life together because of how ''happy'' he has made her.
Discussing becoming a favourite with the paparazzi, she said: ''I look uncomfortable because I am uncomfortable. But then it's like, is this person in my life worth that? And he is, without question ... In comparison to how happy I am. And how I feel with him. It's 100 percent worth it.''
In an interview with The Observer newspaper, she added: ''That side of my life [the paparazzi] is nothing to do with me. That's, like, that is the ... side of life of the man that I love. And ... when that started happening I had to. Because that is the opposite of who I am as a person, and it was weird ... Then I had to sit back and have a conversation with myself and I had to say, 'That is something really horrible.' No, not horrible, I don't find it horrible, it's something that's very challenging.''
FKA - real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett - accepts she has now achieved a certain level of fame because of her actor boyfriend, but she will not allow herself to get complacent with her music because she is yet to achieve her goals in the industry.
The 26-year-old pop star said: ''Oh, I'm nothing. I'm nothing right now. I think it's easy to sit in this trendy cafe, in a trendy little area of New York, and say, 'Ooh, I'm FKA Twigs.' But outside of these four blocks, does anybody really give a s**t? Probably not.''
