Eva Longoria has spoken about her wedding day earlier this month, revealing that her close friend Victoria Beckham designed her dress “with love”.

The 41 year old ‘Desperate Housewives’ star married her third husband, businessman Jose Antonio Baston, in a ceremony in Mexico on May 21st. Former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Beckham also attended the wedding, and played a big part in the day.

Longoria revealed that Beckham had designed her silk crepe gown for the ceremony, as well as a separate dress for the post-dinner celebrations and another for a civil ceremony which took place the day before – to which Victoria was a witness.

Speaking to the latest edition of Hello! magazine a few days after her big weekend, she revealed how the agreement came about - despite saying back in January that she hadn't discussed her wedding dress with Victoria.

“I asked Victoria to do my dress because I wanted it to be special and made with love - and I knew that Victoria would make it with love. Victoria was one of my witnesses too. She signed the paper that says I was here - so it was a Victoria Beckham weekend.”

Longoria, whose recent comedy series ‘Telenovela’ was cancelled by NBC in early May after just 11 episodes, also spoke about her close friendship with the 42 year old designer and mother of four, which dates back to when David Beckham moved to California to play football for L.A. Galaxy in 2007.

“She was the best, sweetest person to have there on this day. Not only did she do my wedding dress but she's one of my best friends so for her to be there was so special.”
