Eva Longoria doesn't think about having cosmetic surgery.

The 40-year-old actress admits she hasn't completely ruled out the idea of going under the knife in the future, but has no desire to alter her appearance at the moment.

She said: ''I don't really think about it. I'm not against it, and I'm not an advocate for it. it's just not on my mind. Maybe when I need it I'll be excited about it.''

The brunette beauty has been dating Mexican media tycoon Jose Antonio Bason for almost three years and believes happiness is the secret to her good looks.

She told InTouch Weekly: ''It's definitely happiness. I don't think I've ever been happier in my life. My projects, the brand, this home products line. I guess my life is more complete - you're in a different place than in your 20s and 30s.''

Asked what's the secret to a good relationship, the former 'Desperate Housewives' star said: ''Communication is really important. And laughter. I like to surround myself with people who are smarter than me. People I can learn from and who inspire me.''

Eva was previously married to Tony Parker but they split in 2011 after she discovered text messages from another woman on his phone.

But she insists: ''I never regret anything I've said or done. I say what I feel, and I think people respect that honesty.''
