Emma Watson has revealed that her final day filming 'Beauty and the Beast' was exactly 15 years to the day that she was cast in 'Harry Potter'.
Emma Watson completed filming on 'Beauty and the Beast' exactly 15 years after she was cast in 'Harry Potter'.
The 25-year-old actress finished work on the live action adaptation of the beloved fairytale on August 21 2015 and revealed it was exactly the same day 15 years ago that she discovered she had gotten the role of Hermione Granger in the wizard film franchise.
Speaking on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, she said: ''It's so weird. It's one of those full circle moments as I did my last day on 'Beauty and the Beast' as Belle and I was driving home and saw stuff reminding me that it was 15 years to the day that I was cast as Hermione.
''It's so crazy. It's more than half of my life.''
Meanwhile, Emma - who stars in new movie 'Regression' with Ethan Hawke - admitted that choosing what movies to star in can be a ''gamble''.
She said: ''Sometimes I'm really baffled about what to do about a certain project, the right director, right cast, enough money to get it made properly - all of these disparate elements have to arrive at the same perfect moment. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. It's a bit iffy.
''It always feels like a gamble. Sometimes you'll get all of the perfect elements in place and it still won't be a good movie. Or you think it might be a disaster and it turns out really well.''
