Emily Blunt spent over $35,000 on her unborn baby yesterday (08.01.14).

The 'Looper' actress and her husband John Krasinski are expected to welcome their first child - believed to be a girl - into the world later this month and the 30-year-old beauty went shopping for the new arrival at upmarket boutique Petit Tresor in Los Angeles yesterday.

According to gossip website TMZ, Emily splashed out $6,780 on a crib and $4,880 on a changing table, as well as other items including a pink bike and a small comfortable pink armchair and footstool.

The shopping spree comes a day after the British actress visited another baby boutique, Bel Bambini, where she picked up a Boppy pillow for breastfeeding, a Nested Bean Zen swaddle and several onesies in various colours.

Last month, Emily and John had a ''very casual'' baby shower at their Los Angeles home, where guests included Jennifer Aniston, Amy Adams and Kristen Bell.

A source said: ''It was a very casual shower. Emily seems very excited about the baby and looks great. She opened gifts of baby clothes and plush toys in front of her guests as they enjoyed cookies and chocolate. Everyone was oohing and ahhing.''
