Emily Blunt had a ''very casual'' baby shower at the weekend.

The 'Looper' actress and her husband, John Krasinski, are keeping the sex of their unborn baby - due in January - a secret, so well wishers were greeted by both pink and blue balloons as they arrived at the couple's Los Angeles home on Saturday afternoon (14.12.13).

Guests at the shower included Jennifer Aniston, Amy Adams and Kristen Bell, who brought gifts wrapped in neutrally coloured paper.

A source who got a sneak peak at some of the presents told UsMagazine.com: ''A few guests brought presents with both pink and blue gift wrap. One guest had a bag with baby clothes and a plush stuffed animal.''

Those attending the shower were treated to snacks and Perrier water as well as raspberry fruitcake tart for dessert. A toast was made in honour of the mother-to-be, with those assembled raising glasses of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label champagne.

A source told People.com: ''It was a very casual shower. Emily seems very excited about the baby and looks great. She opened gifts of baby clothes and plush toys in front of her guests as they enjoyed cookies and chocolate. Everyone was oohing and ahhing.''

The party started winding down around 5pm, when Jennifer was the first to leave, picked up by fiancé Justin Theroux.
