Emeli Sande homecoming

A delighted Emeli Sande makes an emotional homecoming to her native Glasgow (November 6, 2012)

Whilst the rest of the world were tuned into goings on in the United States, a few thousand people in Glasgow, Scotland, couldn't have cared less what was going on in the presidential battle between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney - Emeli Sande was back in town. The Glaswegian native has had quite the few months, appearing prominently in the Olympic Games opening and closing ceremony, thus opening herself up to a global audience, and then following that with a tour in North America, although chart success has so far eluded her there.

Sande couldn't keep the smile off her face playing to a sell out S.E.C.C Arena

Sande's still in the middle of a busy time, which includes a show at London's Royal Albert Hall this weekend (11, November) before heading back to North America for another string of live dates. She'll have been glad to have been back among familiar faces for a night then, and couldn't keep the smile off her face playing to a sell out S.E.C.C Arena. Just a couple of days earlier she'd won three awards at the MOBOs. Read what we thought about her debut album Our Version Of Events upon its UK release back in February of this year.
