Gay stars Sir Elton John and Adam Lambert helped to raise Aids awareness in the Ukraine on Saturday night (30Jun12) on the eve of the Euro 2012 final between Italy and Spain.
Lambert joined Queen stars Brian May and Roger Taylor and the Rocket Man to perform in the Euro 2012 fan zone in Kiev and donated their fees to local Aids research charities.
Queen's former frontman Freddie Mercury died from the disease in 1991.
Sir Elton took a moment during his set to urge fans to stand up to violence against homosexuals in the Ukraine, after the organisers of a planned gay pride march were beaten up in May (12).
Lambert has been recruited by May and Taylor to front the new-look Queen for several dates this year (12).
