Sir Elton John cut short his outdoor show in Blackpool, north-west England on Saturday night (16Jun12) after high winds hit the seaside town.
The Rocket Man was performing for fans at the inaugural concert at the Tower Festival Headland arena, but bad weather prompted police to step in and advise the star to end his set early.
Sir Elton informed the 11,000-strong crowd of the situation, declaring, "I have been told there is some really bad weather on the way. The police say you need to leave right now in an orderly fashion. I'm sorry but I don't want anyone to be hurt. I'll make it up to you."
