Sir Elton John has paid tribute to the late Elizabeth Taylor as part of a celebrity in memoriam feature in U.S. magazine Entertainment Weekly.
Taylor, who died earlier this year (11), became close friends with the rocker and he admits he misses her terribly.
He writes, "She was the most beautiful looking girl, and then the most beautiful looking woman. I don't think there's ever been anyone as beautiful as her.
"We used to insult each other and send each other up... I miss talking to her on the phone and hearing that wicked laugh of hers... and I miss her compassion most of all."
The new Entertainment Weekly tribute also features Arnold Schwarzenegger remembering fitness guru Jack LaLanne, Tony Bennett honouring one-time duet partner Amy Winehouse and tributes to M*A*S*H star Harry Morgan, director Sidney Lumet, Pete Postlethwaite and Heavy D from Loretta Swit, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ben Affleck and Q-Tip, respectively.
