Ellie Goulding is planning to run a marathon in 2014.

The 'Burn' singer is a big sprinting enthusiast and hopes to compete in a marathon, as well as a half-marathon, in the New Year.

She said: ''I'll do a marathon next year. Maybe another half-marathon before the year's out, maybe in November. I'm good at running.''

Ellie believes running is a ''good force'' in her life and helps her get a hold of her emotions.

She said: ''I'm good at singing and I'm quite good at running. I do the training by waking up at joke o'clock and I get out there. It's very physical and it's nothing to do with emotion, so, being a very emotional person, it's a good force in my life.''

The 26-year-old beauty will need to fit her athletic hobby into her busy schedule, which also includes a gruelling tour and releasing a new album.

She said of her plans for 2014: ''I'm preparing myself to start touring constantly next year, ending at Coachella festival. It's going to be a long haul and I'm also gonna release an album.''
