Ellie Goulding wants to be a Bond girl.

However, the 'Love Me Like You Do' would love to play a strong woman in the super spy franchise rather than simply a love interest and thinks she would be the perfect fit.

Speaking to heat radio, she said: ''I think I'd be a good one, to be honest. I can fight. I'm pretty fit, I'm pretty tough. And I can scrub up alright. I think with that in mind why not. I don't know if I can act. I can't remember which one it was, but it was with Pierce Brosnan and the girl has got her legs around him and he thinks they are about to do something naughty, and then she starts squeezing him to death. I'd love to do that one!''

While Ellie - who was at one stage rumoured to be working on the 'Spectre' theme - is busy with her music career right now, she would love to try acting in the future.

She said: ''I thought about it, bit busy at the moment. But maybe at some point I'd like to. I've done it all my life. It is low key. At school I always wanted to be in the school plays and then Shakespeare and a lot of physical theatre. I studied it at university. I mean not that that makes you a good actor, but I feel like it is not an alien thing for me to go into.''
