Ellie Goulding flirted with Dougie Poynter during a night out on Thursday (05.12.13).

The 'Burn' singer was spotted holding hands with the McBusted star - who recently split from his long term girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones - at the Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards, in London.

An onlooker said they sneaked behind a pillar to get some privacy, adding: ''They were deep in conversation and seemed to really be getting along. Ellie was laughing at all of Dougie's jokes and he was being tactile touching her arm.

''They were talking for about an hour, as if there was no one else in the room, and then they left at the same time.''

Ellie is currently single after previously being romantically linked to electronic musician Skrillex, One Direction's Niall Horan and actor Jeremy Irvine.

However, just last month she said she was happy without a boyfriend.

She explained: ''I am so single now - I am single and I am loving it.

''Being alone I've realised a lot of things about myself and who I am. In the last six months I've completely changed - being single has taught me that I have to focus on myself.

''But I have a team of people around me who would slap me down the second I turned into a k**b or started acting like a diva.''
