Ellie Goulding always chooses stage outfits she can dance in as she won't compromise her live performances just to look good.
Ellie Goulding won't wear clothes on stage that compromise her ability to perform.
The 'Love Me Like You Do' hitmaker accepts fashion is a huge part of being a pop star but she will only pick outfits for her concerts that allow her to ''move'' about and dance on stage.
She said: ''I purposely wear things that I can move around in, and it's not about the way that I look or what people want to see, it's more a practical thing.''
The 28-year-old singer is a celebrity ambassador for Nike and attended Nike Women's 10km race in London's Victoria Park on Sunday (21.06.15) accompanied by former Victoria's Secret model Izabel Goulart.
Izabel, 30, took to Twitter ahead of the race to post: ''And we gonna let it burn burn burn. British style!! Minutes before the race with @elliegoulding. (sic)''
Ellie decided to work with Nike and up her exercise regime so she is always in the best shape possible for her concerts.
Speaking to MTV News ahead of the event, she said: ''Rehearsals take a lot of energy, and performing is a very physical thing for me; I'm never one to just stand there ... I like to be able to move and keeping active off stage helps me do it on stage.
''I've been working with Nike for some time, but it's only in the last couple of years that we've picked up the pace, and I've really been getting involved.
Ellie - who is currently dating McBusted's Dougie Poynter - hasn't always been a keen fitness fanatic and for many years she didn't enjoy sport or exercise very much at all.
She said: ''I initially started running because I thought, 'God I really need to start getting into something,' and I wasn't a particularly active kid. I liked a bit of cross country and that was it.''
