Actress Ellen Page made a hard but brave decision on Valentine's Day.

The 26 year-old revealed that she is gay at a Las Vegas LBGT conference called 'Time to THRIVE', this past Friday (Feb 14th).

The human rights campaign gathering, which was attended by hundreds of people, was to promote the welfare of the LGBT youth.

"I am tired of hiding," the 'Inception' actress said to the audience. "I'm tired of lying by omission."

"I'm here today because I am gay," Page added. "And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility."

But the 'Juno' star also admitted that been in the limelight of Hollywood made the revelation more of a struggle.

"It's weird because here I am, an actress, representing, at least in some sense, an industry that places crushing standards on all of us," Page said.

"Not just young people, but everyone. Standards of beauty. Of a good life. Of success. Standards that, I hate to admit, have affected me."

After finishing the very emotional and personal speech, support from her fellow Hollywood stars came pouring in.

Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson tweeted, "Love love LOVE @EllenPage & the message she sent out today! What a perfect way to end Valentines Day!"

Actress Anna Kendrick also showed support by posting, "Mad mad mad mad mad mad crazy love and praise for @EllenPage today. Congrats to you, you light, talent, and beauty."

Pop-star Ricky Martin, who came out in 2011 on The Oprah Winfrey Show, added, "Very beautiful Ellen Page!!! IM very happy for you!!! You are free!"

Page also took to the social media site to show her appreciation for all the positive feedback. "Thank you @HRC and everyone for all the love and support. X"
