Ellen Degeneres had an ''amazing'' time at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's wedding.

The 57-year-old talk show host was one of 70 guests at the couple's recent surprise nuptials and thought the whole celebration was ''beautiful''.

She said: ''All of it was amazing. Jimmy Kimmel was hilarious and Sia sang and that was fantastic. It was just a fun night. It was a beautiful night.

''I love them both and they're both great people and deserve the happiness.''

Very few of the guests were aware they were attending a wedding as the 'Cake' actress had told them they were invited to an early birthday celebration for the 'Leftovers' actor at their Bel Air home, and Ellen - who is married to Portia de Rossi - was thrilled that the couple were able to keep their plans secret.

She added to 'Entertainment Tonight': ''We're friends with them obviously for a long time and so, I know how long they've been trying to plan this.

''So the fact that they got away with it for as long as they did before it leaked out, it was exciting.''

It was recently revealed Jennifer and Justin pretended they had gone on holiday in the weeks leading up to their wedding in order to prepare for their big day in secret.

A source said: ''She told some friends that she and Justin would be on holiday in Bora Bora in the days before the party, which was a lie and where they ended up going on honeymoon

''They were actually home, furiously wedding planning. Jennifer even confiscated all staffers' phones so nobody could take pictures.''
