Ella Henderson managed to hold off '5 Seconds of Summer' to maintain the top spot.
Ella Henderson had maintained her position at No.1 on the UK singles chart with ‘Ghosts’, meaning Australian boy-band 5 Seconds of Summer had to settle for No.2 with new single ‘Don’t Stop’. The boys from down under had led the chart for most of the week but Henderson managed to shift 3,000 more copies.

Ed Sheeran fell one place to No.3 with ‘Sing’, while George Ezra achieved his highest charting position so far with ‘Budapest’ going in at No.4. The seemingly immovable Sam Smith completed the top five with ‘Stay With Me’. Elsewhere in the chart, Gorgon City scored their second top ten single with ‘Here For You’ featuring Laura Welsh. The band had previously reached No.4 with ‘Ready For Your Love’.

Ella Henderson finished in sixth place on The X-Factor 2012, despite being the overwhelming favourite to win the show. Nevertheless, the talented vocalist signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco shortly afterwards and immediately began working on her debut album. Henderson has been working with producer Ryan Tedder – the man best known for his work with Adele, Beyonce and Leona Lewis.
