The If I Go hitmaker is banning booze and dodging smokers in a bid to protect her throat after Smith and Glynne both underwent surgery on their vocal cords in recent months.

Fellow Brit Jessie J has also been under the knife after coming down with a mystery illness, and Eyre has revealed that her peers' health woes have made her "super-paranoid".

She has even sworn not to drink during her time at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England over the weekend (27-28Jun15).

She tells Britain's Daily Star Sunday newspaper, "I'm not drinking this summer. There's so many vocal issues in the industry at the moment I'm getting super-paranoid. And I can't be anywhere near smokers which is a pain in the a**e for my friends.

"I feel sorry for Sam and Jess who are having so much success then can't sing. Jessie J is fatigued at the moment too. I am staying (at Glastonbury) for the whole weekend but it won't be messy like previous years. It will be funny when everyone is off their nut and I'm sticking to sparkling water."

Eyre played on Glastonbury's Other Stage on Saturday afternoon (27Jun15).
