Elizabeth Olsen has spoken out about her new movie 'Silent House'. After starring as a mentally-disturbed fugitive in her debut effort 'Martha Marcy May Marlene', Elizabeth Olsen will next be seen as the heroine of horror movie 'Silent House', who is trapped inside a haunted mansion.

Talking to The Sacromento Bee, Olsen stated: 'I was just thankful that someone was offering me another movie. But it turned out to be a lot harder than I expected. It's very difficult to create a character arc and not repeat any beats in a movie where things just keep getting worse and worse for an hour and a half.' The movie is inspired by the original 2010 Uruguayan version, and it takes place in real time as if it was filmed in one single take. However, Olsen did reveal that the movie took 13 shots to complete and it has all been edited in a way so that you cannot see the shots individually: 'The hardest one of all the takes was the seventh. It starts with me running up from the basement, out of the house, down the street, into a car and then back into the house. It took us several days to get that one right.'

Olsen will start work on 'Kill Your Darlings' at the end of this month (March 2012), a movie about a murder which involved Beat generation poets Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.
