Another aspect of Moss’s personal life which has been under scrutiny is her commitment to the controversial Church of Scientology, but that’s something she no longer wishes to talk about. Moss, who was raised in the church has previously spoken out in support of it. Although she does see why people have been quick to judge she's also stating that she thinks it's ‘grossly misunderstood’ by the media.

Now that ‘Mad Men’ is in its final season Moss will be hoping to keep up her success as she moves away from the show. Things are certainly looking good for the actress as she prepares to say goodbye to Peggy Olson. This year’s Sundance festival saw her starring in ‘The One I Love’ alongside Mark Duplass as a broken couple who go on a relationship retreat. The movie marked one of her first leading film roles. That success can also be added to the Golden Globe she’s just one for her role as Detective Robin Griffin in the 2013 miniseries ‘Top of the Lake’.

Moss is certainly a very skill and capable actress, but she also has a fun and endearing personality that audiences have warmed to. Whilst many will be mourning ‘Mad Men’s’ end later this year, Moss might just see it as the push she needs to break away from the small screen and gain wider recognition. As for her personal life? Perhaps her latest admissions about her short lived marriage will finally put the story to rest, after all there’s a lot more interesting things to find out about Elisabeth Moss.
