Fonda and Tomlin joined forces for the Netflix series earlier this year (15), giving hope to fans of the 1980 comedy classic that Parton would complete the trio's reunion on the show.

While Parton was not a part of the first season, her pals are gearing up for the second installment, giving the country icon another shot at making a cameo.

And when asked at the Television Critics Association summer press conference on Thursday (13Aug15) if she was involved in the next season, Parton was at first confused at what a reporter meant by "Grace and Frankie".

The singer questioned, "Who's Grace and Frankie?... Oh, you should of said 'Jane and Lily.'"

Amid the laughter, Parton said, "I told them whenever I get a little block of time, I'd love to come be on the show. We always talked about a (9 to 5) reunion."
