Diplo has revealed his war of words with Taylor Swift was one of the ''biggest mistakes'' of his career, and has compared her legion of fans to ''an army that's worse than North Korea''.
Diplo has likened Taylor Swift's fans to ''an army that's worse than North Korea''.
The 36-year-old DJ encountered the wrath of the blonde singer's supporters - known as Swifties - in November when he called on his fans to start a campaign to get the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker ''a booty'', but he now admits blasting her on Twitter was one of the ''biggest mistakes'' of his career.
The Grammy-nominated musician - who dated Taylor's pop rival Katy Perry last year - told GQ Style magazine: ''I can go head-to-head with anybody. I don't care who you are.
''I didn't go after Lorde because she's my friend and she's a young girl and the one person I kept it cool with.
''All I know is don't ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift. She has like 50 million people that will die for her.
''It's like an army that's worse than North Korea. You can't step into that arena. That was something I was never prepared for ... one of the biggest mistakes of my career was definitely f***ing with her.''
Tension between the pair erupted in November last year, when Diplo called on his fans to start a campaign to get Taylor a butt.
He wrote on Twitter: ''Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty (sic)''
Taylor didn't respond to the tweet, but her pop star friend Lorde did, saying: ''Should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm. (sic)''
A fundraising campaign was later started on website Fundly with the aim of raising $3,500, but has only managed to amass $95.
A statement on the page read: ''Taylor Swift Still Needs Your Help! Any true supporter of T SWIFT would definitely not pass up this opportunity to improve her posterior! Any TRUE fan would show their support! (sic)''
And in an interview published last month, Diplo said: ''Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies. And I know lots of secrets. I can't divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And I'm scared. I'm scared for my life.''
However, Diplo and Taylor, 25, ended their feud at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where they were spotted together in friendly conversation.
