The man who died in Demi Moore's pool ''did not know how to swim''.

A 21-year-old man was found dead in the actress' pool at her Beverly Hills home in the early hours of Sunday morning (19.07.15) and TMZ reports the death was a tragic accident.

Law enforcement sources told the website: ''The man who died did not know how to swim and it appears he slipped and fell in the pool.''

It is believed that authorities are still investigating but are likely to rule out foul play.

The man had been attending a party thrown by an assistant of Demi or one of her daughters.

According to the website Demi is currently out of town and neither she nor any of her family members were present at the bash or when the body was found.

Demi's three daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah are believed to have been living with her recently and sources told TMZ they have been throwing ''parties every day, day and night''.

However, none were involved in the party in which the tragic accident occurred.

No other details have been revealed.
