Picture: David Walliams and Fearne Cotton leave Nobu restaurant in Mayfair London, England - 05.04.12
One group of hopeful contestants on Britain's Got Talent found themselves with an unexpected extra member on Saturday night, when one of the show's judges decided he liked the act so much, he wanted to join in. David Walliams took a shine to the camp five piece going by the name of Show Bears when they performed their version of The Weather Girls' 'It's Raining Men' and asked if he could get on stage and join them.
The five men were dressed in silver, sequinned sailor suits and hats and sang 'We're Sailor Men' to the tune of The Weather Girls' original. When they'd finished their routine, Walliams announced, jokingly that they could be 'the new One Direction.' David told the group that he'd like to have a go at joining in the routine and joked "I may be too camp, I may send it over the edge." He had a go at joining in the routine, though he was a little clumsy, even given the simplicity of the routine. "I was in heaven" he announced, once his performance was over.
Walliams joining in with Show Bears was a comic highlight in another episode of Britain's Got Talent that failed to attract as many viewers as its Bbc rival The Voice. Simon Cowell - the show's mastermind and one of its judges - has finally surrendered and moved Bgt to a later time slot as of next week, to avoid the embarrassing defeat in viewer ratings that they have suffered each week.
