BASIC INSTINCT star SHARON STONE solidified her renewed friendship with comedian David Letterman last night (21JUL04) - by kissing him four more times on his chat show.

The sexy actress kissed and made up with Letterman in September (03), after nine years of having turned down appearances on his LATE SHOW because the funnyman previously upset her. She eventually agreed to return because she could no longer recall why she originally thought he was "a stinker".

Letterman apologised for upsetting her, at which point she said, "Wanna kiss and make up?" The pair then kissed four times, prompting Letterman to quip, "That was worth nine years."

And, just 10 months later, the pair shared four more kisses - just for the sake of it.

Letterman later told Stone, "I don't get to kiss a lot of lovely actresses... Every now and then, but not much."

Stone, referring to Courtney Love's infamous antics on the show a number of months previously, shot back, "I know, but girls get up on your desk and show you their boobs!"
