The new trailer arrives ahead of the film's summer release.
The shaven head that Daniel Radcliffe has been sporting in recent months finally makes sense as the trailer for his new crime thriller 'Imperium' arrives, portraying the actor as an undercover FBI agent amid a violent gang of neo-Nazi thugs. The movie is set to hit theaters this summer.
Daniel Radcliffe stars in 'Imperium'
In what could be described as one of his most intense roles yet, Daniel Radcliffe plays Nate Foster, an FBI agent tasked with a dangerous mission to bring down a terrorist group of racist neo-Nazis. Directed by the award-winning Daniel Ragussis in his full-length feature directorial and screenwriting debut, it is loosely based on the career of former FBI agent and whistleblower Michael German.

Nate Foster proves to be the best man for the job when it comes to infiltrating a serious right-wing white supremist group. He is enlisted into the group on the basis of his excellent education, his military background and his lack of a criminal record, but deep down he knows he's out of his depth with no real experience to deal with what lies ahead. These guys are serious; idolizing the likes of Hitler and the Ku Klux Klan, they have plans beyond aggressive street demonstrations. They want to build a bomb.
If matters weren't bad enough, Foster is starting to become extremely paranoid that his new buddies suspect him of being an informant, despite the fact that he's tried to integrate himself in every way he can; tattooing his body to show his so-called dedication and attending KKK conferences. It's hard to convincingly stay a part of something you feel is so intrinsically wrong in every way, however, and trying to stop himself from stepping in and saving the individuals when it's the bigger picture he needs to worry about soon becomes a depressing burden. These guys have to stopped, and if they can't be taken alive, there's only one thing for it.
As well as 'Swiss Army Man' star Radcliffe, the movie also features Toni Collette ('Miss You Already') and Burn Gorman ('TURN: Washington's Spies').
'Imperium' will be released in US movie theaters on August 19th 2016.
