Daniel Craig has denied the rumours that the next two James Bond movies will be split across a single storyline. In fact, he seemed baffled at the very thought of it. It’s an approach that’s used for adaptations of epic novels, such as The Hobbit, but Craig can’t see the same tactic being applied to the Bond franchise.

The Bond star told the German Filmstarts website “We certainly... it's impossible to do a two-parter. I heard that somebody was talking about that, but it's the first I've heard about it. We can only do them one at a time,” he continued, “ they take six months to shoot… you can’t write one movie thinking about the next. All we’re trying to do at the moment is get the next one sorted out and that’ll stand alone and if I’m able, I’ll do another one after that.

The current James Bond movie, Skyfall, is currently in UK cinemas, having smashed opening weekend records, taking a staggering £20.1 million at the box office in its first weekend. It was also number one in another 24 countries and hasn’t even opened in the USA yet. By comparison, Quantum Of Solace took £14.4 on its opening weekend.
