Daniel Craig’s James Bond is the heaviest drinker of any Bond – with an average of 20 units per film.
Daniel Craig’s James Bond drinks more units of alcohol per film than any of his predecessors, according to a report in The Grocer magazine. Craig’s Bond is seen drinking more alcohol than any other Bond incarnation before him. Craig has played Bond in three films and, on average, Craig’s Bond has consumed 20 units of alcohol per film.

Craig’s average units is eight more than the next Bond on the list, Pierce Brosnan (with 11). Sean Connery and Roger Moore’s Bonds both average out at 11 units each.
GEORGE LAZENBY’s Bond, in the one film in which he starred as 007, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969, drank 9 units. Timothy Dalton, who played Bond in two films, averaged at 4.5 units.
Reports suggest part of Bond’s increased alcohol intake is because of the financial reward for filmmakers in product placement of popular drinks brands. Vodka Belvedere is sponsoring the upcoming film Spectre so we can expect to see the brand make an appearance at some point.
'We can exclusively reveal that Daniel Craig is by far the booziest Bond the world has ever seen, having knocked back an average of 20 units of alcohol per film since his debut in 2006's Casino Royale,” the article in The Grocer reads (via The Mail).
'This matters, for a number of reasons. Bond is the most powerful film franchise on the planet. The previous instalment of 007, Skyfall, was the highest-grossing British film, ever.’
'A partnership with 007 can pay big for brands, as booze brands as diverse as Bollinger, Jim Beam, Red Stripe and Heineken will attest. Belvedere's decision to jump into bed with Bond is a landmark moment for the brand.'
In other James Bond-alcohol related news, Craig stars in a new advert for Heineken. The quirky advert sees Craig, as Bond, accidentally take an unassuming jet skier for a ride whilst attempting to outrun a group of villains on speed boats. Heineken featured in Skyfall but some viewers were angered – with filmmakers taking a step away from Bond’s traditional vodka martini – when Bond was seen swigging from one of their beer bottles.
