Rocker Damon Albarn Has Thrown His Support Behind Russell Brand's Political Crusade But Has Warned The Funnyman That His Methods Are "Naive".
The Blur frontman agrees with the Get Him to the Greek star that the U.K.'s political system needs an overhaul and admits he was dismayed when more than one million people marching through London in 2003 to protest against the Iraq War were simply ignored.
However, he is wary of Brand's push for a revolution and his calls for the electorate to shun the voting system, because he knows political apathy is not the way forward.
The Parklife hitmaker tells the U.K.'s Channel 4 News, "I'm not going to be a Russell Brand hater, because I think his heart's in the right place. I think sometimes maybe his methodology is a little naive."
