Ciara Accidentally Kicks Fan In The Face Whilst Attempting Lap Dance Move

Ciara accidentally kicked a fan in the face whilst performing in at the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta on Wednesday (13th May). The 'Body Party' singer is currently on her Jackie album tour.

Ciara asked a male fan on stage in order to perform a sexy lap dancing move. The fan was seated and two of her backing dancers held his arms aloft, presumably so he couldn't get handsy with 29-year-old singer. Things went quickly wrong when she attempted to do a sort of forward roll/backflip on to his lap. In her attempt to do so, Ciara accidentally kicked the fan in the face. The fan didn't seem too injured or put off though and Ciara did pull of her dance move. Even more impressively, she continued performing as if nothing had happened!

In other Ciara news, the singer has attracted criticism from Beyoncé's fans after Ciara was recently interviewed by the Guardian. Ciara was questioned about her position in the music industry hierarchy i.e. not becoming the 'household name' Beyoncé has become. Ciara simply stated that she did not see herself in competition with other artists, including Beyoncé or Jay Z.

"Everything's about timing. I've had records just as big as those artists, I've had No 1 songs around the world. My biggest competition is me," Ciara said in the interview.

"There's no doubt in my mind how high up this train can go," Ciara further explained. "I faced those challenges. I don't see myself beneath Beyoncé and Jay Z; I don't see myself above them. I'm in my own world, hungry to grow."

Although she did not criticise Beyonce or Jay-Z, Beyonce's fans began attacking Ciara on social media. On Friday (15th May), only a day after the Guardian interview was published, Ciara issued a short statement on Instagram in response to the criticism she had faced from the Beyhive.

It's sad how people want to see us females go against each other," Ciara wrote on Instagram. "Never been for that. Never will. If you're going to pull quotes, pull the whole thing."
