Pop superstar Christina Aguilera is keen to enrol her "daredevil" son in gymnastics lessons in an effort to appease his desire to try out parkour.
The Dirrty hitmaker reveals seven-year-old Max is constantly jumping around and over furniture at home, so she wants to help him channel his energy into an active pastime more suitable for a kid than the obstacle passing sport.
Aguilera admits her boy's interests may have been piqued by her love of U.S. competition show American Ninja Warrior, on which contestants are put through their paces to successfully complete tough obstacle courses - but that doesn't mean she wants her son to follow in their footsteps.
She says, "He gave me a heart attack. He comes home and says, 'Mum, I wanna take parkour lessons.' I'm like, 'What is parkour?' He's so into being a daredevil, he literally is. He'll climb over the couches... It's kinda like American Ninja Warrior, that whole thing. I'm kinda obsessed with it... I love it, but I don't love it for him... I'm gonna put him in gymnastics or something so he can, like, focus and be good at maintaining his monkey abilities! He's like a little monkey."
Max is Aguilera's only child with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman. She became a mum for a second time in August (14), when she welcomed daughter Summer with her fiance Matt Rutler.
