Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

A new cast star in the sequel to the surprisingly successful 2011 reboot, 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'. Gary Oldman, Kerri Russell and Jason Clarke will star with Andy Serkis reprising his role as Cesar. The movie is set 15 years on from its predecessor and Matt Reeves is returning to direct.  Now Cesar's band of  genetically evolved apes is being threatened by a band of human survivors from the a virus unleashed a decade earlier. Soon they are pushed to the brink of war to see which species will come out as dominant. The battle is set to commence on July 11th.

Marvel’s riskiest movie so far, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is something a bit stranger than what we’ve seen from the studio before. Chris Pratt leads the galactic space adventure, with a supporting cast that encludes Zoe Salanda, Vin Diesel, wrestler Dave Bautista, oh and Bradley Cooper as a talking racoon. A risky bet maybe, but it’s in safe hands with Kevin Feige producing and ‘Dawn of the Dead’s’ James Gunn directing. We'll have to wait until August 1st to see if Marvel have managed to strike gold once again with 'Guardians of the Galaxy’.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Are you ready to see the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ rebooted? The general consenus seems to be, not really. This one’s already causing controversy before we even seen a proper trailer as people just don't seem to be warming to the plot, if you haven't heard, there’s going to be aliens. Directing is Jonathan Liebesman whose CV isn't great, being best known for the 2012 ‘Clash of the Titans’ sequel ‘Wrath of the Titans’. We have our resevations, but the love for the turtles means that we'll just have to check this one out when it's released on August 8th.
