LeBlanc’s joke was highly praised by fans, but viewers still aren't tuning in.
The new series of ‘Top Gear’ has seen its ratings fall even further, to its lowest Sunday night audience in over a decade. The drop comes as fans seem to be warming more to the show, with one joke from Matt LeBlanc on Sunday receiving particular praise.
‘Top Gear’s’ ratings have fallen further.
According to overnight viewing figures from broadcast media ratings specialists, Overnights TV, last night’s show averaged just 2.3 million viewers. That meant the show had just 10.4 per cent of the Sunday night audience share.

Last Sunday the show drew 2.4 million viewers and at the time was the show’s lowest number to date. It was a considerable drop from the 4.3 million who tuned into the first episode of the new series last month.
But despite the drop in viewers, fans seem to be warming up to the new series and one joke by presenter Matt LeBlanc was highly praised. While introducing the Stig, LeBlanc said: "Some say he thinks Brexit is a laxative. And for tax purposes is classified as a biscuit.”
