The cover of this month's Empire Magazine gets the fangirls/boys in all of us thoroughly excited.
New Captain America: The Winter Soldier poster! Sorry, excitement like this does not allow for proper grammar. But you get the idea, Marvel have released a new promotional image for the 2014 flick and it offers not only a good look at Captain America’s new suit, but also a full preview of the brand new villain – Bucky as The Winter Soldier.
In case the trailer wasn't cool enough, check out this new promo image below. The new issue of Empire is out Tuesday, December 31 (http://t.co/Oi91MnjK8Z), and you can check out the cover here: pic.twitter.com/VxD3CbxkgX
It looks… well, it looks really cool. The Winter Soldier’s costume also looks very similar to the comics, which is always a good thing. And ScarJo as Black Widow is beautiful and fierce as usual, with few changes apart from the new haircut, which we’ve already seen in a few set photos. It doesn’t really reveal any new information about the movie, but the poster does serve its purpose, which is to get us all extremely excited about the fate of the (slightly ingnored) first Avenger after the events of the 2012 film. Chris Evans returns as the righteous Steve Rogers, aka Cap, still struggling to adjust to present day life. That's fair enough, given that, much like in the children's book, all his friends are dead. Luckily, he has Agent Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) as the best possible work friend and a brand new villain in the face of the Winter Soldier to distract him from his ennui.
You can also watch the trailer below.
The image is the cover of this month’s Empire Magazine and has already spawned a number of interpretations, including the below manipulation with Clark Gregg’s face, which this particular staff writer is personally very fond of.
That’s funny. (Printing it now) RT @jessiepridemore: @clarkgregg Fixed this picture for you. pic.twitter.com/yVRq3PZk3J
