Chris Brown appeared in a Los Angeles Court yesterday, accused of faking the documents that showed he undertook 701 hours of community service. He was supported by his girlfriend Rihanna, who sat behind his legal team. TMZ have spoken to Neil Cobb, who works at the Children’s Center where Brown allegedly waxed the floors. Cobb claims that Chris may have performed community service at the centre but if he did, it wasn’t done whilst Cobb was there.

In court, it was alleged that Brown took part in a scheme to dodge the responsibilities that were bestowed upon him as a consequence of him beating his girlfriend Rihanna, back in 2009. Prosecutors are requesting that Brown re-do his community service and claim that the paperwork submitted was “at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting.” In his defence, his attorneys reiterated the fact that sworn peace officers had stated that Brown had been supervised carrying out the work and that he carried out all 701 hours of community service.

Neil Cobb’s statement appears to have thrown a cat amongst the pigeons though. In his interview with TMZ, he remarks that he spends a lot of time at the Children’s Centre, but never saw Chris Brown waxing the floors. “He might’ve did floors, but he never did floors with me.” When he was asked if the floors had been waxed over the waxing that he had already done, he replied “no, they hadn’t.” The next hearing has been set for April 5.
