Controversial R&B singer Chris Brown recently showed that even though he is busy trying to get his career back on track after spending some time in jail, he does keep up-to-date with current world affairs, more specifically the Ebola outbreak that recently landed in the U.S.

Brown gave his thoughts on the Ebola virus reaching the U.S.

On Monday (Oct 13th), the 25 year-old star decided to take to Twitter and share his thoughts on the health epidemic, hinting that it may just be one big conspiracy. "I don't know," he tweeted. "But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control. S--t is getting crazy bruh."

However, only minutes later Brown seemed to realize that this comment is most likely wrong and decided to rethink what he wrote by posting, "Let me shut my black ass up!"

But in those three minutes, the Grammy-winning singer's original tweet, which hasn't yet been deleted, received more than 20,000 retweets and caused outrage amongst internet users who are concerned about the deadly virus that has killed more than 4,000 people in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

If Brown's tweet has caused worry amongst his loyal fans, don't just start panicking yet as Dr. Tom Freiden, the head of the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention, is "confident" the spread of Ebola in the U.S. can be stopped.

"We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control, because even a single infection is unacceptable," he said Monday, via NBC News. "Stopping Ebola is hard. We're working together to make it safer and easier." But Freiden did confirm the CDC plans to "work with hospitals throughout the country" to ensure the symptoms are detected properly and patients are treated correctly.

So Brown's theory does appear to be quite inaccurate.
