Chris Brown's personal problems are finally being addressed as the singer enters a rehab facility for anger management issues.

The singer's decision to seek help comes a day after being released from a Washington, DC., jail following an assault charge after attacking a man outside the W Hotel on K Street.

According to E!News, a rep for singer released a statement saying "Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility."

Adding, "His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behaviour, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

Brown's arrest in DC on Sunday Oct 27th was the last straw before the 'Kiss Kiss' singer finally made the correct move in asking for help. Chris was given a misdemeanour assault charge after allegedly punching a man in the nose at approximately 4.30am.

Brown and his bodyguard were arrested for the incident and spent the next 36 hours behind bars.

The 24 year-old is still on probation for the infamous beating of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009, which is 5 years long and states that Brown must serve 1,400 hours of community service.

The L.A. County Probation Dept. are currently investigating into the arrest, to try to determine if Brown violated his probation. If found guilty of the violation than the maximum penalty the 'Don't Wake Me Up' singer could receive is five years in prison.

TMZ reports that after Brown was released from the DC jail he flew to LA and met with the County Probation Department officials on Tuesday (Oct 29th).

The report also states Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, along with his mom and girlfriend Karrueche, dropped the singer off at a facility in Malibu, California.

Entering this facility and seeking help could show that the troubled star is willing to improve himself, thus showing the authorities a measure of good faith.
