It’s an all too similar trajectory; a violent episode followed by court dates and conflicting stories. We’re confident, though, that in a few years, Chris Brown and Drake will be posting Instagram pictures of them together in hotel rooms. For now, though, they’re suing each other.

This is where it gets technical, but fear not, our astute political minds will unravel this maze of a lawsuit so you can understand it. A French model named Romain Julien is filing a suit because of the injuries he claimed he sustained during their brawl last June at W.i.P. nightclub in New York City. So Chris Brown and Drake are going against each other in court and if Julien wins his battle, then whoever wins out of Brown and Drake will incur the legal fees, charges and whatever is deemed necessary by a court judge.

At the time, Rolling Stone reported statements from both Brown and Drake’s legal people. And you guessed, they blame eachother! "I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this. The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim in all of this," Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, explained. "I believe the police are building a case against Drake and his thugs. Clearly, Drake was the instigator, and there is evidence he threw glassware." While a representative for Drake said, "Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.I.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. [Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."
