It’s just not the ‘X Factor’ judge’s style to post ‘cryptic’ Instagram messages.
Every social media move Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has made recently has been scrutinised, especially since news of her romance with One Direction’s Liam Payne broke. But the 32-year-old has warned observers not to read too much into her posts, as it’s just not her style to be ‘cryptic’.
Posting a smiling selfie, Cheryl wrote: "Btw... My posts are not ever intended to be ‘cryptic’ or hold ‘hidden message’. If they're quotes then they're usual on general topics I care about and not about any personal situation I may be experiencing at the time. Not my style. Just easy and lazy writing for some. Just wanted to clarify.”

Cheryl’s post comes a day after she posted a picture which read: "Girls compete with each other, Women empower one another." Many thought the post was in reference to negative comments she’d received online over her relationship with Liam Payne.
"It can be so hard at times being a girl, for sooo many reasons! But we don't have to make it harder for each other.. Why do we still feel the need to do that ?? I don't understand it,” Cheryl wrote. "I have always been a Girls girl, and love other strong women.”
“That is why I surround myself with them, and that is why I try to empower others. Trying to pull another person down, only speaks volumes about your character.! And not a thing about theirs.. There's nothing more powerful or beautiful than an inspiring, strong women that you can look up to or turn to... Be one!!!”
