Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has reportedly been spotted house-hunting in her home city Newcastle and wants to open a bar there.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is moving back to Newcastle.
The 'I Don't Care' singer is reportedly looking to set up home with husband Jean-Bernard Versini back in her home city in North East England and was spotted looking through details of potential properties a few weeks ago.
A source said: ''Cheryl was seen by locals at a restaurant in Ponteland a few weeks ago carrying a bundle of local estate agent pamphlets.
''She was really friendly to everyone and was overheard discussing her house hunt with the owner.
''She loves Newcastle and would like to have a base nearer her mum.''
As well as her Cheryl's Trust charity being based in Newcastle, the 31-year-old star is said to be keen for her and her restaurateur husband to set up a business in the city.
The source told the Daily Star newspaper: ''She's talked about the idea of buying a high-end wine bar and have JB manage it.
''Cheryl would love for JB to have a link to Newcastle too.''
The 'Only Human' hitmaker recently admitted she wants to spend more time in her home city and thinks it will be ''good'' for her.
She said: ''I don't get to come back here as often as I like. But that will change now - and that will be good for my lifestyle.
''There's a specific smell in the air that means Newcastle to me. I go to the same Chinese takeaways and I get to eat the soup my mother cooks.''
